Japanese 'The Avengers' Trailer Filled with Awesome New Footage

"There was an idea, to bring together a group of remarkable people." We're getting close to the summer and things are really starting to heat up. A new Japanese trailer has debuted on Yahoo Japan (via JoBlo) for Marvel's The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon, and it's packed full of new footage, plenty of goodies for comic nerds going crazy for this. There's a good look at the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill actually delivering a line, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper, more shots of Loki, Nick Fury and the mysterious non-Skrull aliens. If you're not already excited for this yet, you will be after watching this trailer!

When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. The star studded cast includes Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Cobie Smulders, as well as Tom Hiddleston and Stellan Skarsgård who are reprising their respective roles from Thor. Marvel's The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon (Serenity), hits theaters everywhere May 4th, 2012. that was hot!......although you'd think with Stark's technologies, we'd be able to have ships that big flying without resorting to 4 ginormous propellers.....

  The Helipad was designed by Howard Stark. The propellers use an advanced technology that makes it possible for that large of a ship to hover high above a city as well as propell it forward in the air, while using minimal energy.

it's a relief to finally know that Hawkeye has some lines in this. I'm trying not to get too excited for this movie but it's hard not too

  It's all part of a plan. Think of this: If one day the aliens want to invade, first they will investigate us through our culture. They actually will see tons of movies. In all of them, we are pretty much afraid of loosing NYC. It's our strategy to make them think that's actually a good idea.

  Read the comics first and learn about her. She is more then u think And Hawkeye is exellent marksman and those arrow can explode. Use your imagination, dont compare this to realistic world.

  Don't 4get tho, Steven: Cap hands Tony's a$$ to him on more than one occasion in the comics! Most notable (for ME, anyways!) was when Cap trained him in hand-to-hand combat (without the armor) and when he took him down IN HIS ARMOR during "Civil War"... ...and from the evil eye Cap gives him in that "big man" scene, I'm pretty certain Tony's barely an inch away from getting a big ol' can of whoop-a$$ opened up on him, so watch that space! ^_^

and just where does that bag of hot air Captain America get off talking smack to Stark??? he was a 98 lb weakling who was injected with some drugs , thrown into a magic box and PRESTO!!!! instant tough guy.....this is going to be soooooooooo lame....but maybe Zeus and his crew will get to feeling 'dissed about being left out and decide to join in on the fun....this stuff cracks me up....

No matter how manner clips they throw at us, this movie still looks WAY over the top!! The reality-based worlds that were wonderfully created in "The Incredible Hulk", "Iron Man" and "Captain America" are just being washed aside for something that resembles another awful "Transformers" movie...which is what "Avengers" is looking like from start to finish. Blah! I just want to get past this and on to "Iron Man 3", thank you.
