Judgment is Coming - Badass Official 'Dredd 3D' Poster Revealed

"I am the law!" Judgment is indeed coming, you better watch out. Lionsgate has revealed the final official poster for Dredd 3D, starring Karl Urban as the new Judge Dredd adapted from the 2000 AD comics. We got to see this movie at Comic-Con and I totally loved it, Ethan was impressed by it (watch our video blog), and I can't wait to see it again. Sci-fi awesomeness. The poster shows Dredd (who never removes his helmet) standing tall over the burning backdrop of Mega City One, which he should not be proud of. It's a badass poster, I think, because the focus should be on Dredd, who is the badass in this. Tip to B-D for first finding.

Dredd 3D Poster

Dredd takes us to the wild streets of Mega City One, the lone oasis of quasi-civilization on Cursed Earth. Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) is the most feared of elite Street Judges, with the power to enforce the law, sentence offenders and execute them on the spot – if necessary. The endlessly inventive mind of writer Alex Garland and the frenetic vision of director Peter Travis bring Dredd to life as a futuristic neo-noir action movie that returns the celebrated character to the dark, visceral incarnation from John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra's revered 2000 AD comic strip. Dredd 3D is set for release everywhere starting September 21st.

I think you meant 'ass bad' not 'badass'...

Jim Eisenhauer on Aug 2, 2012

Wow? What, really? No way... it's not ass bad, come on!

Alex Billington on Aug 2, 2012

Because you have seen the film, or is that just your ill informed opinion?

"We got to see this movie at Comic-Con and I totally loved it" Did you even read the article?

Sean on Aug 3, 2012

If that was aimed at me, I was replying to Jim Eisenhauer.

Looks good, apart from the helmet which looks stupid

Lagoya on Aug 2, 2012

In your opinion.

Eldo on Aug 2, 2012

Great poster. Captures what the trailers seem to suggest too - a gritty, contained action story against an epic landscape.

This looks like a Daredevil poster copycat. Really? They can't seem to try original?

The Truth on Aug 2, 2012

It is based on a panel from one of the greatest Dredd stories ever written.

Eldo on Aug 2, 2012

Except Daredevil was shit.

I hope he says: It's a lie! The evidence has been falsified! It's impossible! I never broke the law, I AM THE LAW! or You Betrayed The Law!
