Mila Kunis Adds Voice to R-Rated Stop-Motion Animated 'Hell & Back'
Towards the end of last year, we learned about a new stop-motion animated project called Hell & Back that wouldn't take the usual family film route we're used to seeing on the big screen. Unlike favorites like The Nightmare Before Christmas or Coraline, the film is an R-rated comedy featuring comedians T.J. Miller (She's Out of My League) and Nick Swardson (30 Minutes or Less) voicing two best friends who have to rescue their friend who is accidentally dragged into hell. Now Deadline has word that Mila Kunis, who has voiced Meg on "Family Guy" for years, will also provide her voice to the unique and bold project. Read on!
Kunis has also voiced various characters in segments on "Robot Chicken," but this time around she'll be voicing a female demon, who's also half-human, whose ability to navigate the underworld makes her the toughest rogue demon in hell. Her existence from two worlds has turned her independent and rough around the edges, not to mention the fact that she was sired by the Orpheus of myth when he traveled down the River Styx, nailing everything in sight. This project sounds absolutely crazy, but I'm absolutely glad that it's something original and will hopefully have some great stop-motion animation to bring hell to life. Tommy Gianas and Ross Shuman are directing, and it sounds like they have their work cut out for them.

I don’t think I would really consider Nightmare before Christmas or Coraline usual family fare when it comes to movies…rated appropriate for children, but they’re kind of twisted for regular family films. Although I am appreciating the wave of more stop-motion films being made in the past few years – it’s such a cool artistic style.
