"Escape From Your World to Ours!" Yesterday Sony finally kicked off some marketing for Len Wiseman's Total Recall remake, starring Colin Farrell, in the form of a teaser trailer for a teaser trailer. Today they've launched a small viral site for Total Rekall, the "sci-fi" futuristic company that implants memories of a virtual vacation. "Come to REKALL for a memory of a lifetime," it boasts, with a info line opportunity and phone number entry. Put it in and you'll receive a call from a recorded message talking about your "vacation package" this is available. Ah I love that we're getting into sci-fi like this, fantastic. So far this is all there is.
To visit, click that website, or any of the links - there isn't a short URL available, which makes me wonder if this is just a small mobile viral connected with an event, with more to come later. When you put your phone number in, the message back is: "Thank you for entering your phone number. A representative will call you when your vacation package is available. Rekall, we can remember it for you." Awesome. The first official trailer for Len Wiseman's Total Recall remake, based on the Philip K. Dick short story, arrives this Sunday. The film hits theaters everywhere on August 3rd, so stay tuned for more updates from Rekall.
