Iron Sky Trailer

"We come in peace!" Another new trailer, the official US theatrical trailer, has debuted for Iron Sky, the crazy upcoming dark sci-fi comedy about the invasion of Nazis from the Dark Side of the Moon directed by Timo Vuorensola and starring Udo Kier, among others. While we've seen plenty of footage for this film already, including a recent Berlin teaser a few weeks ago, with the premiere coming soon and FX finally finished, they're going all out. This new trailer (via AICN) is a full-on English-language introduction to the concept and the Moon-Nazis. While the dialogue seems awfully cheesy, at least the sci-fi action looks good.

Watch the official US trailer for Timo Vuorensola's Iron Sky, embedded via YouTube:

The Nazis set up a secret moon base in 1945, where they've hidden planning their return to power in 2018.

Iron Sky is directed by Finnish filmmaker Timo Vuorensola, of only Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning, and who is also the lead singer in Finnish black metal band Älymystö. The screenplay for this was written by Johanna Sinisalo and is based on a story by Antti Hukkanen & Jarmo Puskala. They finally amassed enough money to shoot this in Finland last year and recently finished all the effects. Visit the official website for more! The film will premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival on February 11th, but there's no U.S. release yet.

  • Hmm, according to the official site, the lady in red is the President of the U.S., played by Stephanie Paul.  She looks a bit like Sarah Palin .... I wonder if that is intentional?
    • Jericho
      its entirely intentional

Looks fun and terrible at the same time.  At least it doesn't appear to take itself too seriously.
  • Looks brilliant.

Yeah, the dialogue is cheesy, but the whole concept of nazis on the moon is in itself cheesy as hell. I think it will work out just fine.
  • Will they resurrect Adolf?
    • grimjob
That would be interesting. Maybe some underveloped clone that is almost complete, but not quite, resulting in some nasty humanoid they decide to release when shit's not going their way. Haha!

Just his brain.  It's in a bottle somewhere, next to the sauerkraut!

I love a good "B"-Movie. Now comes something with that great "B" feeling but "A" level polish? (Relax people, that was polish the finishing agent, not Polish the people. God help you if they think you're making a Polish/Nazi pun.) I'm sold on this movie!
