Additional Toronto Film Fest 2012 Midnight Madness & Docs Line-Up
Just last week, the 37th Toronto International Film Festival unveiled the initial first half of their Gala and Special Presentation films, now they're finalizing the line-up with a list of the remaining 62 films being shown this year. TIFF has announced the line-up of the remaining Vanguard International Films, World Premiere Documentaries and Midnight Madness line-ups, along with TIFF Cinematheque and TIFF Kids. I was extremely impressed and immensely excited by the first half of the selection, and this just tops things off even more. Can't wait! Check out the second half of Toronto 2012 films listed below.
Here's a look at the second half of TIFF's 2012 film line-up unveiled. Starting with the Vanguard selections.

iLL Manors is the highly anticipated directorial debut by pioneering British music artist Ben Drew (a.k.a. Plan B). Narratively linked through original music from Plan B, the film is a visually stunning and emotionally impactful experience laced with street-wise humour. The film's soundtrack just topped the U.K.'s album chart.

Peaches writes, directs and plays the role of Peaches herself.

As edgy and explosive as Nicolas Winding Refn's (Drive) 1996 cult classic, this English language remake tells the story of a week in the life of Frank, a big time drug pusher in London. Frank's life is a fun-filled rollercoaster ride that spins out of control. Friendships start to vanish, there is no longer room for love within his life, and violence takes over. Danger and chaos ensue, and eventually Frank is left with no one to turn to and nowhere to go.

Room 237 fuses fact and fiction through interviews with ardent fans convinced they have decoded Stanley Kubrick's The Shining's secret messages regarding genocide, government conspiracy, and the nightmare that we call history. Camp 14 — Total Control Zone

The Central Park Five

Looks like they've amassed a very well-rounded, robust, exciting line-up at TIFF this year, and I'm anxious to return yet again. I'm not as familiar with these films as the first half, but that's all for the better, as that means more to discover. However, I have already seen John Dies at the End (at Sundance), Dredd (at Comic-Con), Room 237 (The Shining doc, seen it twice!), Gondry's The We and the I and Sightseers (in Cannes). It's always hard to tell in advance what's going to really stand out, but I'm just excited about diving into the selection this year and catching films that I've never heard of in hopes of finding some gems.
