TGB Episode 122: In Memory of Tony Scott (Guest: Film Crit Hulk)

August 23, 2012

The Golden Briefcase - Tony Scott

On this week's episode of The Golden Briefcase, Tim & Jeremy are joined by guest Film Crit HULK (@filmcritHULK) from Badass Digest to chat about their latest Picks of the Week, the newest DVD & Blu-Ray releases, new trailers for Simon West's Stolen and J.A. Bayona's The Impossible and much more. The main topic of the night, altered due to the rather tragic news earlier this week, was a retrospective on the late British filmmaker Tony Scott. The guys discuss how they felt about him as a director, his entire filmography and reminisce on a director that will be greatly missed in the world of cinema. Listen below.

The Golden Briefcase is also broadcast LIVE on Wednesday nights starting ~7:30PM PST. You can listen in via our Ustream page or by visiting our own live page right here on FS. The podcast is just as fun to listen to live while it's being recorded, with plenty of special guests, so I suggest you tune in the next time it records!

I had no doubt you guys would do him justice. Excellent episode. I know I will remember Tony Scott forever. His movies are so ballsy and influential and even if some of them are "failures", they're very interesting and ambitious failures. Love you guys for how you handled the topic.
