Since winning the Best Actor Oscar at this year's Academy Awards, French actor Jean Dujardin has mostly avoided the spotlight. But he's about to take his career to the next level, as Variety reports Dujardin has joined the cast of Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, in which he'll star opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. He'll play Jean-Jacques Handali, a suave Swiss banker who launders money for Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio), the stockbroker who tastes success but gets caught up in drugs, excess, and greed. The Artist star also joins fellow Oscar-nominee Jonah Hill who plays Belfort's friend and business partner. Read on!
Dujardin is an awesome addition to this cast, which also includes "Friday Night Lights" and Super 8 star Kyle Chandler as the FBI agent hunting Belfour down. It should be a lot of fun to watch these high-quality actors work under a master like Scorsese, and after Dujardin's wonderful performance in The Artist, I'm sure American audiences can't wait to see (and hear) a lot more of him in mainstream films. He's signed on to a few other upcoming projects, including a spy thriller called Möbius and an amusing comedy called One Wild Moment with fellow Frenchman Vincent Cassel. Cool?
