Watch: Another Look Back at the Year in Film with 'The Movies of 2012'
by Ethan Anderton
December 26, 2012
With just six days left in the year 2012, we're getting down to the end of our retrospective coverage looking at this year of stellar cinema. We'll actually have some more in the beginning of 2013 as well, but in the meantime, we have a new retrospective video to pay tribute to all the films from this year. We've already seen Nick Bosworth's Final Cut 2012, Kees van Dijkhuize's Cinema 2012, Genrocks Filmography 2012, Christopher Sherwood's Cinemageddon 2012 and The 2012 Movie Trailer Mash-Up, but now we have Nick Kinder's simply titled The Movies of 2012 that doesn't cover everything, but comes damn close. Watch!
Here's Nick Kinder's The Movies of 2012 directly from YouTube:
Kinder says, "Everyone loves going to the movies. There's so much to choose from, and the possibilities of creativity on the screen are completely endless. 2012 was arguably one of the greatest years in modern film. At least in my opinion. And editing this video made me realize it. There were so many great films this year. And no matter which one was your favorite, hopefully it made it into this. I spent two months on this video, 65 gigabytes off my laptop, and 50 plus hours of editing. I couldn't have enjoyed it more. It was truly an experience." Some films didn't make the cut (you can see which ones right here), but 200 still appear based on their premiere in the United States in 2012. For a list of music, visit the YouTube page. Did you enjoy?
