Watch: Charming Indie 'A Buddy Story' Trailer with Elizabeth Moss
"Sometimes I pretend you're singing to me." This looks adorable, especially because it has Elizabeth Moss ("Mad Men") and the more I see of her, the more I fall for her. And in this, she pretty much knocks me out, there's just some amazingly cute charm in that face of hers. Yahoo has posted the official trailer for an indie film called A Buddy Story, written & directed by Marc Erlbaum, starring Gavin Bellour as a struggling solo musician in New York who lives with his pet turtle. I haven't heard of this before and wasn't sure what to expect, but by the end was sold, this looks like a charmer and the perfect kind of indie to discover. Enjoy!
Watch the official trailer for Marc Erlbaum's A Buddy Story, in high def from Yahoo:
Buddy (Gavin Bellour) is a struggling musician touring the northeast with his pet turtle. Buddy's neighbor Susan (Elizabeth Moss) seeks an opportunity for escape from her abusive boyfriend, and tags along on Buddy's tour. From a rough biker bar to a 100-year-old's birthday party and other odd stops along the way, Buddy and Susan come to realize that it's not the road's end that matters, but rather the road itself.
A Buddy Story is written and directed by first-time director Marc Erlbaum, who also wrote the indie Head Space previously. This first premiered at the Philly Film Festival back in 2010. Gravitas Ventures & Strike Accord will be releasing A Buddy Story in limited theaters on May 15th this summer. I want to see it! You?
