Dead Man Down Trailer

Blood demands blood. An early trailer for FilmDistrict's crime thriller Dead Man Down has surfaced, and while its got a great cast, the film looks like it packs a punch. Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace star in Dead Man Down, directed by Danish filmmaker Niels Arden Oplev who made the first original The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film. It also co-stars Dominic Cooper, Terrence Howard, Isabelle Huppert and Armand Assante in a "a triumphant action thriller", a powerful portrait of the relationship between two people caught in the crosshairs of revenge. It has a bit of a Drive kind of vibe, so check it out yourself.

Here's the extended full US trailer for Niels Arden Oplev's Dead Man Down; international via YouTube:

Update: We've replaced this with a high def version of the trailer, which can be downloaded on Apple.

Following the cinematic phenomenon The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, acclaimed filmmaker Niels Arden Oplev and brooding beauty Noomi Rapace reunite for another thrilling tale of vengeance. Colin Farrell joins the prestigious team as brave enforcer Victor, right hand man to an underground crime lord in New York. He seeks to avenge the death of his wife and daughter caused by his boss. When his employer is threatened by a mysterious killer, Victor also becomes detective. Victor is seduced and blackmailed by Beatrice (Noomi Rapace), a victim turned avenger whose intense chemistry leads them spiraling into payback delivered in violent catharsis. FilmDistrict will release Dead Man Down in limited theaters on March 8th this winter.

wow. at 1st I was curious, and the song kicked in. then it had my full attention. good music really does wonders for an already good trailer. this does actually look pretty decent though.
  • Looks pretty good. Too bad the sound on this trailer wasn't in sync with the video. :(

Hard to believe this is from WWE films.
    • GoofyDerp
It's not from WWE films. They were just investors who bought their logo on there.

Damn, this looks pretty freakin' rad. Anyone see Armand Assante in there? Love that guy.

Just remember that WWE films had nothing to do with the making of this movie. They were investors only!
  • Noomi might actually be too good at acting if that's possible.

These shitty remakes of classic rock songs are really pissing me off....Shine on remake ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!?!?!?!
    • Wasn't that great gig?

It was Shine on you crazy diamond by floyd
    • yeah no reason to do that. one of my favorite pink floyd songs too.
    • Idiot. Kendra Morris does a brilliant cover.
  • Is the background score playing @ 00:25-00:47 the work of Jacob Groth (film's composer), or someone else? Just asking, cause it seems more and more movie trailers are scored by contracted companies, whose music rarely makes it on the soundtrack.

Why would they give this a limited release? That just seems so stupid to me, it clearly has cost a lot of money and could do quite well given a stronger release.
