Watch: Newest Trailer for Darren Bousman's 'Mother's Day' Remake
Last year, director Darren Lynn Bousman had his timely horror film 11-11-11 chased out of theaters just as quickly as it came by bigger releases like The Immortals and Jack & Jill (though I can't imagine the film being much worse than either of them). Now Bousman is back with a film that showed up at Fantastic Fest back in September of 2010, and the first trailer for the horror thriller Mother's Day, a remake of Charles Kaufman's 1980 film of the same name. Rebecca DeMornay is rocking the cradle again as the "mother" of a villainous family returning to their childhood home to terrorize the new home owners and their guests.
Here's the first trailer for Darren Lynn Bousman's remake of Mother's Day via Yahoo! Movies:
Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III and IV, Repo! The Genetic Opera) directs this remake of Mother's Day, the 1980 film by Charles Kaufman, with a script coming from Scott Milam. Three brothers on the run from the law head for home, only to discover that their mother (Rebecca DeMornay) lost the house in a foreclosure. Mother ingeniously orchestrates her sons' escape, teaching the house's new owners and their guests a few lessons along the way. The film is slated to hit limited theaters on May 4th. Looking good?
