Watch: First 'Trouble with the Curve' Trailer Starring Clint Eastwood
"My father is a baseball scout. I grew up around men who swore, drank, and farted. Trust me, I can handle it." Warner Bros has debuted the first trailer for Robert Lorenz's Trouble with the Curve, the new baseball drama starring Clint Eastwood as an elderly scout in one of his first acting-non-directing roles in a long time. He's joined by Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman and Robert Patrick. This honestly looks a lot better than I was expecting, something about Amy Adams and the dialogue, despite that overly-catchy song. It looks like it has a lot of wonderful, fun emotion and great moments. Take a look!
Here's the first trailer for Robert Lorenz's Trouble with the Curve, originally from Yahoo:
Robert Lorenz's Trouble with the Curve, from a script by Randy Brown, focuses on Clint Eastwood as Gus, an aging Atlanta Braves scout with vision problems whose daughter, Mickey (Adams), reluctantly agrees to be his eyes on a crucial recruiting trip. “They’re having trouble communicating. They always have, and now they’ve come to a point in the relationship where it’s either going to change or it’s not. He needs a little help, and she decides it’s worth the effort.” If you've seen Moneyball, he's the kind of old school scout who picks based on instinct and observation. One friend is Johnny (Timberlake), a scout from a rival team who has a lot of loyalty to Gus. Warner Bros has this set for release on September 28th this fall. First impression?
