Watch: Julie Delpy and Chris Rock in First '2 Days in New York' Trailer

As a writer and director, not to mention star, Julie Delpy made quite a splash with the quirky romantic comedy 2 Days in Paris about five years ago, and now she's back with a sequel, that also works as a standalone film, with 2 Days in New York, and the trailer has just arrived. This time it's Chris Rock, in his best film in years, as Delpy's significant other, and the chemistry between them is superb. We caught this film at Sundance and it's really a great indie comedy. Some of Delpy's pecular family from the first film are back, including Delpy's real-life father Albert Delpy, who is absolutely hilarious and steals every scene.

Julie Delpy writers, directs, produces and stars in 2 Days in New York, a follow-up to her 2007 film 2 Days in Paris. Marion (Delpy) has broken up with Jack (Adam Goldberg from the first film) and now lives in New York with their child. But when her family decides to come visit her, she's unaware that the different cultural background held by her new American boyfriend Mingus (Chris Rock), her eccentric father, and her sister Rose, along with her ex-boyfriend, and an upcoming photo exhibition, will make up for an explosive mix. Magnolia Pictures is sending the film to theaters later this summer on August 10th. Looking good?
