Watch: Paul Scheer Auditions for the Lead in 'Fifty Shades of Grey'

When you think sexy, you think Paul Scheer. Women around the world are eagerly anticipating the adaptation of the Twilight fan fiction turned best-selling novel trilogy that starts with Fifty Shades of Grey. The Social Network producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti are behind the forthcoming adaptation, and while there's been a lot of speculation about who will play successful young entrepreneur Christian Grey, the physical and emotional dominant to impending college graduate Anastasia Steele's submissive personality, I think we have our top candidate in "Human Giant" star Paul Scheer. Honestly, I lost it every time he said "butt stuff," especially as robotic Christian Grey. Frankly, after hearing all about this book series from various women, the only way I would see this movie without the utmost skepticism is if Paul Scheer was cast. At least then we know it's supposed to be a comedy, and it's not just an adaptation of a grocery store erotic novel with a teenager's writing style. Don't get me wrong, with the right director and cast, this could turn into a sultry adaptation of an intimate romance, but the source material certainly leaves something to be desired. But I have faith in Brunetti and De Luca. Oh, and Paul Scheer.
