I Give It a Year

Judd Apatow better look out as Dan Mazer (the writer of Borat and Bruno) just might have a great, adult romantic comedy on his hands with I Give It a Year. The film follows Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids, Get Him to the Greek) and Rafe Spall (Prometheus, One Day) as a British couple dealing with the trails and tribulations that come with the first year of marriage. The supporting cast has some great names in the form of Minnie Driver, Stephen Merchant, Jason Flemyng, Simon Baker and even Anna Faris. The first trailer was funny, and this new one has more laughs too, so I hope it comes over to the US soon. Watch!

Here's the new UK trailer for Dan Mazer's I Give It a Year, originally from Empire:

Dan Mazer (who wrote BrĂ¼no and Borat) makes his feature directorial debut with I Give It A Year, which he also wrote himself. The romantic comedy from Working Title and Bridget Jones' Diary and Love Actually producers Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan lifts the veil on the realities, trials and tribulations of the first year of marriage for a British couple played by Rose Byrne (Insidious, Bridesmaids) and Rafe Spall (Prometheus, One Day, Shaun of the Dead). Anna Faris, Simon Baker, Minnie Driver and Stephen Merchant also star in the film headed to UK theaters on February 8th, but there's no US release date yet. How does it look?
