Total Recall Trailer

"This person you think you are now — it's all a lie." Sony just debuted another brand new full-length trailer for Len Wiseman's Total Recall remake, starring Colin Farrell as Doug Quaid. We've already had one incredibly kick ass trailer for this sci-fi remake, but this new one gives us even more to see, including a glimpse at the three-boobed woman (although it's still green band, so you don't see them). There's also more of Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel, as well as Bryan Cranston. I'm still quite a bit hesitant about this, something about Wiseman puts me off and though the action looks cool, I'm curious to see the entire thing.

Watch the second full-length trailer for Len Wiseman's Total Recall remake, in high def via Yahoo:

Len Wiseman (Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard), is directing this Total Recall remake from a script by James Vanderbilt, Kurt Wimmer & Mark Bomback that is said to be more true to Philip K. Dick's original short story We Can Remember It For You Wholesale. The new story involves nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai, with Doug Quaid (Colin Farrell) a factory worker in the latter who begins to believe he's a spy, although he doesn’t know for which side. Bryan Cranston, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel & John Cho also star in the film, arriving in theaters on August 3rd this summer. Visit the Rekall website, too. Are you in?

I laughed at the 3 boobies homage, yeah. This new version looks fucking awesome, I had my doubts, but I am sold now. August 10th seems far away now.
    • Lagoya
Hell Yeah!! Exactly what I was thinking!
  • Bithki
This just looks awesome!!! Maybe it's just from liking the 1st one so much so many years ago but I really think it's going to be a fun movie...can't wait! Farrell has played some terrible roles over the years but I still think he is a good actor and for some reason I have always liked him, The girls.... what can you say...Smok'in hot girls in a chick! Action looks to be incredible and it looks to be staying simular to the original just! Again looks to be a real fun movie!
    • Scopedog
Agreed. And I did like Farrell in MINORITY this makes his second PKD film. The trailers certainly look good, and the cast looks solid as well. Still, the finished film is what I'm ultimately judging, so here's hoping that it's a good one.
  • Quaid
Where's Richter? Is he coming to the party?
    • axalon
      I certainly hope so man
    • DoomCanoe

  • grimjob
I really hate that this looks so good. I was so pissed when I first heard about a remake, but that first trailer made me think twice. This just reaffirms it. This movie looks badass.
  • G.
Kate Beckinsale straight up badass. Insanity.
  • HealthyPoison
Want to not like it, but man these trailers sure make it look good. Hopefully it delivers!
    • Scopedog
Same here. The trailers are whetting the appetite....hope the actual meal is worth it. And the girl with three boobs is in it!
  • Looks pretty banjos! Some Steven Seagull Dark Territory power slides going on there too.

The Dark Knight Rises will still be ruling the world when this comes out.
    • give it a brake will ya
Cheese-us! Why must every fu**ing thing be a competition?! Yes,another Hollywood distracton will be ruling the world so the masses don't have to think about how everything is f**ked up in real life.
    • Adam
The Dark Knight Rises will fall
"What can I say? I give good wife?" HAHAHA!!!
  • syntaxterror
must... resist... urge to like... ugh... too late! This looks completely badass and could be a contender for popcorn movie of the summer. Let's hope the rest of the film lives up to this awesome trailer
  • ryderup
Blade Runner meets Minority Report meets JJ Abrahms. I dig it!
    • Scopedog
Yup. You gotta dig the flying cars too....and Kate Beckinsale kicking all amounts of @$$. (Damn, Len Wiseman, you've gotta be one of the luckiest SOBs in the world!)
  • High octane action. 3 boobs. 2 bitches going at it. What's the hesitation again Alex?
    • crystaltowers
I guess by "bitches" you meant "women".
      • Technically. I suppose. To put it in more perspective: 2 tough, strong, kick ass kittens doing more than scratching. Or, 2 brutal, rectum stabbing, hotness with the lotness meh-laddies.
  • bassmonsta
is that bill nighy at 1.26. thats so cool

  • C.j.
Absurd!!!! The first one too good to be remade! That being said, I agree with Josef, I to will be seeing this because of the third boob lol
  • Adam
The chick with THREE BOOBS! yeah hell! i can't wait for her!
  • crystaltowers
Still not sold. Not till I see it. I've been duped by great trailers so many times before, and Len Wiseman has never directed a film that could be called "great" - just look at his record. Forgive me, but I think the safe money here is on caution. While it may have all the gloss and trimmings of modern sci-fi, the real question is: will Wiseman deliver a film as iconic for it's time as Verhoeven did?
    • grimjob
I don't believe he will. I think this is going to be a good movie, but I don't think there's any way it will become what Verhoeven made of the original.
    • Joe_HTH
To each his own, but Wiseman's Live Free Or Die Hard kicked all kinds of ass and was a very good Die Hard film. Too bad the studio chopped it up for a PG-13 rating. Wiseman's original Underworld was a good little genre film as well. No, I wouldn't call it great, but how many genre film made on shoestring 20 million dollars budgets are. Not to mention it was his first directing effort. His two hour Hawaii Five-O pilot was also damn good. I have a simple question. Does this film truly have to be great for you or anyone else to enjoy it? Can't it be just good or fun? How many films ever year can truly be classified as great? Nine or 10 maybe, out of a few hundred films? As for Verhoeven, he's overrated as hell, and so was the original Total Recall. It was B-movie shlocked, filled with atrocious dialogue, cheesy one-liners, and poor acting. Verhoeven is responsible for such awful films like Starship Troopers(it was shit and you know it), Hollow Man, Basic Instinct, and Showgirls. Showgirls was quite possibly one of the worst films of all time. It was borderline inept. So while Verhoeven made some nice films, he made a whole lot of junk too.
