Tai Chi 0 Trailer

See the extraordinary life of founder of the Yang style Tai Chi. This teaser isn't new, it actually came out back in April, but given we just heard that Tai Chi 0 is now scheduled to premiere at the Toronto Film Fest, I had to feature it. The TIFF guide describes it: "Young genius Yang Luchan travels to Chen Village to learn the forbidden secrets of martial arts, but quickly learns that the village is menaced by a formidable battalion of Steampunk soldiers." Awesome, I'm sold. This is a short teaser, but gives us a good idea of the steampunk style, the martial arts, and characters. I was already in, but now I'm even more anxious to see this at TIFF.

Here's the first teaser trailer for Stephen Fung's Tai Chi 0, found on YouTube (via Bleeding Cool/Twitch):

Young genius Yang Luchan travels to Chen Village to learn the forbidden secrets of martial arts, but learns that the village is menaced by a formidable battalion of Steampunk soldiers. The villagers realize that in order to save their home, they must trust this strange outsider with their knowledge of Tai Chi.

Tai Chi 0 is directed by Hong Kong actor-turned-filmmaker Stephen Fung, who directed the films Enter the Phoenix, House of Fury and Jump previously. The screenplay was written by Kuo-fu Chen (Double Vision, The Message, Detective Dee). The film is premiering at TIFF this fall, but was already picked up by Well Go USA for release. Tai Chi 0 will hit theaters in 3D on October 16th, followed up by its sequel Tai Chi Hero.

i'm sorry, but cutting images to the beat of a song is a very basic trailer technique (one that i prefer to the tell-the-whole-story approach, btw)... was the dragon tattoo teaser awesome? - yes! is this teaser awesome? - i think so! be angry, no more.
