Watch: Tom Hanks Proves 'Cloud Atlas' is Kids' Halloween Sensation
The cast of Cloud Atlas is making publicity rounds this week (Lana Wachowski giving an inspiring speech is also moving around the web), and one particular actor took some time to have fun with the film's use of the stars playing multiple characters. Tom Hanks stopped by The Colbert Report to plug the film, but also deliver a great bit about how Cloud Atlas is a Halloween costume sensation for kids of all ages in the segment Stephen Ghoulbert's Spooky-Time Halloween Fun Guide. You might recognize some other familiar costumes as Hanks tries to give away Larry Crowne DVD's. Hanks is just an all-around nice, funny guy, and his turn in Cloud Atlas is just one of dozens of reasons to see the film this weekend. Watch below!
Here's Stephen Ghoulbert's Spooky-Time Halloween Fun Guide with Tom Hanks from Comedy Central:
Cloud Atlas is the ambitious adaptation of David Mitchell's novel, co-written/directed by Andy and Lana Wachowski (Bound, The Matrix, Speed Racer) and Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run, The International), that features six century-spanning storylines, all using the same actors playing characters across time and space. The film explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future. Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future. Warner Bros has Cloud Atlas set for release on October 26th this month.
