Wonderful 'Last Days' Video Blog #8 for Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit'
Hooray, the new video Hobbit blog is out! Peter Jackson has just posted video blog #8 for The Hobbit on his Facebook page, which not only covers the "Last Days" of production, but also his trip to Comic-Con just last week. This fantastic video runs nearly 15 minutes, giving us a wonderful look at how far they've come making these two (maybe three?) movies bringing us back to Middle Earth. This is the video I was talking about when I said it shows how much fun every last person had making this, such an amazing experience. "Here's a bit of what I saw in San Diego, and what those in Hall H got to see of The Hobbit!" Don't miss it!
In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit... The Hobbit, being directed by Peter Jackson in two separate parts, is set in Middle-earth 60 years before Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, which Jackson and his filmmaking team brought to the big screen in a trilogy ten years ago. The Hobbit films, with screenplays by Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Guillermo del Toro and Peter Jackson, will be shot consecutively in digital 3D using the latest camera technology. The Hobbit follows the journey of Bilbo Baggins, played by Martin Freeman, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey arrives in theaters in 3D/48FPS December 14th.
