We've seen tons of fan artwork paying tribute to superheroes from colorful minimalist posters, to the Superhero Film Alphabet, vintage travel posters for superhero cities and an entire exhibition of work for The Avengers from Gallery 1988. Now some cool new posters have given the film noir treatment to some familiar big screen heroes, and while they're just black and white images with no use of the color that dominates the comic book characters' costumes, they are stunning pieces of work. Marko Manev (who made these badass Chronicle posters) is behind the pieces which all deserve to be framed. Posters below!
Here's Marko Manev's posters for the Superhero Noir series from Behance (click for larger versions):
For a plethora of other great posters from Mark Manev, go to his portfolio on Behance. As you can see in the posters, rather than just slapping the actual superhero name on the poster, he gives them a film noir-esque film title, some of them being real nicknames. These are absolutely gorgeous pieces of work. Manev was also behind two of the World War Z posters we featured awhile back, but these are certainly top notch works.
