Julianne Moore

Briefly: After being courted back in June, Lionsgate has confirmed that Julianne Moore has joined the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, and will appear in both parts of the finale. Moore will play President Alma Coin, the smart but manipulative politician who is a pivotal figure in the final chapter of the story following the spark of a revolution Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) begins in the second film. The actress will be seen later this year in the remake of Carrie and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut Don Jon. But this won't be her first young adult adaptation since she also stars in The Seventh Son, the film that is waiting for distribution from Universal via their deal with Legendary after a delay by Warner Bros.

I hate that they are stretching the last book to 2 movies.

There is a lot of material in that last book, especially the last thirty pages or so.

Yeh, I just hate waiting an extra year for resolution.

I hate what they are going to cut out: the blood, the mutations, the mutes, etc.

I hate the ending. It makes the whole series pointless, in my opinion, at least at Katniss' character level.

I don't think it could have ended any other way.
