The Wolverine Footage

The Warrior. The Survivor. The Legend. Ready for more? Fox released what they're calling the CinemaCon Footage for James Mangold's The Wolverine, Logan's solo adventure in Japan, once again starring Hugh Jackman. We've seen at least one set of trailers so far, and while I raved about this footage when I saw it at CinemaCon, this is only 60 seconds and is missing more of the train fight after the title (which isn't in this). That said, this is still badass and shows us a bit more of what to expect this summer. While Man of Steel and Pacific Rim look great, don't forget about The Wolverine, this is going to be insanely awesome. See it here!

Watch the CinemaCon footage for James Mangold's The Wolverine, in high def from AMC's YouTube:

Based on the celebrated comic book arc by Chris Claremont & Frank Miller, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.

James Mangold (Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma, Knight and Day) is directing The Wolverine from a script by Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback who are adapting the classic 1982 story arc in the Wolverine comics, which takes our favorite Marvel mutant all the way to Japan. 20th Century Fox is releasing James Mangold's The Wolverine in theaters everywhere July 26th this summer. What do you make of that?!

All this convention footage is shaking the very foundation of what I thought the limits of awesome were.

Looks quite good. But I can't lie...if you tell me I'm only allowed to see one movie in a theater in HAS to be Pacific Rim. But luckily I can see more than one, and this is one I will also be seeing.

Looks quite cartoony in bits, but I'm still there.

Love that look on the samari's face after he slices Logan in the face but sees it healing over. Like a big "Holy shit, WTF!!?"

Here we go again with the use of "badass" as an adjective. Can't you come up with a describing word worthy of a real movie critic and journalist? I like your stuff but you have the vocabulary of a 12 year old. Upgrade your verbiage dude.
