Gal Gadot & Elodie Young Also Testing for 'Batman vs. Superman' Lead

Gal Gadot / Wonder Woman / Elodie Yung

Yesterday, we rounded up some rumors about who might show up in Batman vs. Superman, with one of the biggest being that of actresses like Jaimie Alexander (Thor: The Dark World) and Olga Kurylenko (Oblivion) testing for a female role in the film that many believe to be Wonder Woman. Now those rumors have more weight, but could potentially be more flimsy as well. Variety reports Gal Gadot (star of the last three Fast & Furious films) and Elodie Yung (Jinx from G.I. Joe: Retaliation) either have or will test for the same role that Kurylenko has tested for already. But there's another possibility for this female lead.

While some firmly believe this casting is for Wonder Woman (if you look at all the actresses, they certainly fit the description of the heroine), there's also the chance that it's merely for Bruce Wayne's love interest. Pushing the other way though, the description of the character, "“tall, brunette, athletic and exotic," all good descriptors of Wonder Woman. It would be an interesting twist if this character was Bruce Wayne's love interest throughout the film, but then it turns out she was Wonder Woman, just trying to get close to Batman for something other than romance. It's still early days, and with no details, speculation will run rampant. It would be great if the DC Universe expanded even more in this film, but we'll see what happens.

Because a cardboard cut out of Megan Fox has more range and depth of emotions than Megan Fox has!

Well, that settles it. The anonymous Internet commenter says it would not be interesting twist, so that's the definitive word. Whew, glad we got that cleared up.

I'm secretly zack snyder. but keep it quiet, only i know it.

I would like the twist, I think so far superhero films mostly sucked in the romance department.

'Batman vs. Superman", yet they have more heroes, hopefully it isn't bloated.

Jaimie Alexander would be perfect but she already in the marvel universe
    • Such heroic nonsense
Agreed. I hate the idea of actors crossing universes.

Why is that an issue? She is the best candidate from the ones that were mentioned till now. But as long as Olga doesn't get it I'll be fine with any of the above.

she has a non compete in her marvel deal...

Whoever they choose, im praying for a wardrobe malfunction.

Would love a R rated superhero film. Finally we'd have some realistic violence and sex.

Why not a woman who looks like she actually has some muscle? Gina Carino is not a great actress, but at least she looks like she could beat someone up.

No and no...not seem Amazons are very skinny

A good WW actress would be someone like Monica Belucci. She has the curves for the role, she's a woman, not just a girl, and she has the ability to exude exoticism. All of which are required to play Wonder Woman
  • DAVIDPD
Yeah! They actually going to cast some one with darker skin!
  • Rudy desi
jaimie first then carano or gale godot...dc has popular heroes and they may not have to go the marvel route...all depends on a script
  • kitano0
Catherine Zeta Jones would be a perfect WW
