The Impersonators Trailer

"It's time we stop impersonating heroes, and we start to kick some mother f*!&ing ass!" How about a funny superhero parody to kick off the week? The first trailer has debuted for Joshua Hull's new film The Impersonators, an independent "comedy/action superhero movie" about a group of rag tag birthday party super hero impersonators who get in over their heads. To use the typical cliche of comparison, this film feels a lot like Super meets Mystery Team, two of my favorite cult indies. It may be ultra low budget but it still has some genuinely funny moments and I like how crazy things get in the final seconds of this trailer. Enjoy.

Here's the first official trailer for Joshua Hull's The Impersonators, originally posted by AICN:

A group of rag tag birthday party superhero impersonators are hired by a crime-ridden town to clean up their streets. The impersonators soon find themselves in over their heads in a hilarious fight for survival.

The Impersonators is directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Joshua Hull (@JoshuaHull). It was written by Josh Arnold and Joshua Hull. Starring Joshua Arnold, Melissa Revels, Micah Shane Ballinger, Noah East, Frankie Chubb, Raymond Kester, Ellie Church, Pat Hardy, Scott Richards, David Ross and Jas Sams. This was shot independently earlier this year, and will be released in 2014. For updates visit their Facebook page.

This doesn't even look like a straight to DVD movie! It could be potential but the cast is totally unknown! Not even B-list!

how much were you paid to post this lmfao or how close are you to this josh hulls fella cuz obviously we saw a different trailer some people just have different styles, josh i don't think super hero rag tag comedies are your thing bro, but i appreciate the effort
    • I'm not saying it's great, it is very low budget, but I support indie films of all kinds. There's some great work in the indie world. Like I mentioned in the post, it has a Mystery Team vibe - watch the trailer for that film and tell me you don't get the same vibe - super low budget, unknown actors, but looks (and is) fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7axE4NXp84

you support indies of all kinds???? if true, you miss a LOT of trailers.
        • Such as? Please point out any that you think we should feature, because we run most of them. I also prefer to have some sort of filter. I don't want to post EVERY trailer that's out there, but rather the ones that we're interested in/want to support. Those range all over the place. But I'm more than happy to take suggestions. Sometimes there's indies that are really awful and we don't support ALL of those.
