Kate Winslet & Matthias Schoenaerts Join Alan Rickman's 'Little Chaos'
A love story about two gardeners doesn't sound all that thrilling, but when you throw Kate Winslet and Rust & Bone star Matthias Schoenaerts into the mix and have Harry Potter franchise star Alan Rickman behind the camera, then that's something that might turn heads. Baz Bamigboye has word that Rickman's gestating film A Little Chaos has rounded up Winslet and Schoenaerts to play rival landscape gardeners commissioned by Loius XIV to create a fountain at Versailles. Yeah, that sounds like a dry British movie to me, but what that talent involved, I can't help but be ever so slightly intrigued by this project. More below!
Rickman has been developing this film for years, refining the script, scouting locations and now he's figured out a cast. The production is supposed to start shooting in the spring and will reunite Rickman with Winslet for the first time since Sense and Sensibility in 1995. Meanwhile, Schoenaerts is coming off a buzzworthy turn opposite Marion Cotillard in Rust and Bone, so his presence is very welcome. Winslet has been low key since Contagion in 2011, but this coming Friday you can see her in one of the Movie 43 segments with Hugh Jackman. Stay tuned for more updates down the road.

Hmmm if other people were involved, I'd expect a dry British movie but Rickman and Winslet are very witty. The story sounds kind of quirky too. With the talent involved I'm sure it'll be great. Rickman has held onto the story for years too so I reckon he'll put a lot of passion into it! 🙂
