Must Watch: Full-Length International Trailer for 'The Raid 2: Berandal'

Following the action-packed international sensation The Raid: Redemption, the sequel is heading for the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. And while the first film only clocked in around an hour and 40 minutes, The Raid 2: Berandal runs nearly two and a half hours. However, this one doesn't look like it will have the video game style wave of enemies coming one right after the other. A new full length international trailer lays out the story slowly and carefully before leading to a wide variety of action including an armed car chase, a muddy prison riot, and plenty more hand-to-hand combat. This looks like it'll be intense. Watch!

The Raid 2: Berandal, the sequel to The Raid, is written and directed by Welsh born filmmaker Gareth Evans who also directed the first film. Starring Iko Uwais, Arifin Putra, Alex Abad, Oka Antara, Tio Pakusadewo, Julie Estelle, Cecep Arif Rahman, Cok Simbara, Yayan Ruhian, Matsuda Ryuhei, Endo Kenichi, and Kitamura Kazuki, the film features our lead character Rama (Uwais) going undercover and infiltrating the ranks of a ruthless Jakarta crime syndicate in order to protect his family and uncover the corruption in his own police force. The film premieres at Sundance, but Sony Pictures Classics releases it March 28th.
