Controller Sci-Fi Short

"They say when I leave, the world will turn upside down." Whoa. Here's another must watch new science fiction-esque short film from writer/director Saman Kesh called Controller, the perfect film to kick off your week. This kind of has an Akira meets Tron (maybe) vibe to it, with a huge office fight scene in the middle of a sweet love story. I thought this was an amazing short when I first watched it, I love the music and all the action kicks ass, plus it has an intriguing concept with an adorable love story. I want to see more in this world. Thanks to @AgentMcQueen for the tip on this Vimeo short. PLAY IT LOUD & FULLSCREEN.

Synopsis from Vimeo: A girl that can control everything, perpetrates her own rescue by taking control of her boyfriend. If you want to see more, you can check out the Controller prequel here on Vimeo. This video is dedicated to all the hard working individuals that spent many months bringing this to life. Spanning three countries: Taiwan to UK to USA. Written & Directed by: Saman Kesh (薩曼 凱許) featuring original music by Russ Davies and cinematography by Isaac Bauman. The cast includes Luka Lu and Kent Chu (as the main voice) plus Susan Hsu, with stunt choreography by Dragon (楊志龍). Produced by MARQ Films. Thoughts?

That was awesome...though I may have to watch it about 10 times before I actually get it.

Amazing! Thanks for sharing. If the live action Akira can capture even a quarter of this kind of vibe then i still have some small hope for it.

Cool short! Where can I get the music from when they are fighting in the office? It is epic.

This is what Hollywood is missing. Originality, stop making re-makes and reboots. They are lame and a huge waist of time. We need quality stories and less CGI work.

It just looks like a typical Tokyo cityscape... Look here: http://360gigapixels.com/tokyo-gigapixel-roppongi-hills-mori-tower/ Zoom in, and you'll see it could have been shot in almost any area.

It's filmed at Taipei not Tokyo.

That's maybe why I like it, from visiting Tokyo I found getting lost there great fun, each street was full of brilliant stuff.

Well that was awesome!!

Well done but makes zero sense. I give them credit for the work at least. If she controls everything why not just control the people who captured her? Whatever. Whole thing pretty silly...

Almost a weird version of Crysis with much more heart. Love the end.
