Man of Steel

Now that we've seen a big chunk of footage in the form of spectacular full trailers and some stunning TV spots, it's time to dive behind the scenes of Man of Steel, the promising return of Superman directed by Zack Snyder. This new featurette features some awesome new footage along with interviews with Clark Kent and Superman himself, Henry Cavill, along with the aforementioned filmmaker, his wife and producing partner Deborah Snyder, The Dark Knight trilogy producer Charles Roven and co-stars including Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Laurence Fishburne and more. Watch it!

Here's the featurette for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel from Walmart:

Man of Steel, the new DC Comics Superman reboot, is being directed by Zack Snyder, of Dawn of the Dead, 300, Watchmen & Sucker Punch previously. Christopher Nolan is producing, and co-wrote the story with David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, The Unborn, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance), who wrote the script. Warner Bros is bringing Man of Steel to theaters everywhere June 14th this summer. Will you be there?

I gotta stop watching this stuff. Not making this month go by any faster.
Not sure why adding lens flare seemed like a good idea. I like seeing Zod though.

Because Zack The Hack saw in it Star Trek. Even Zod's battleship with gravity gun looks like a knock off of the mining mechanism that destroyed Vulcan planet.

That's not true. This film promises an epic battle with aliens and an alien ship with a giant beam of light.... o damn this is the same imagery as Avengers. Just using a different rational for the imagery. Zack is a hack.

At least Zack has a unique and interesting visual style, unlike the superficial Spielberg wannabe Abrams and his stupid mystery box.
    • I think the lens flares in this case, on these particular poster are to evoke the feeling that Superman and Zod are traveling super fast. Personally the lens flares here are not bothering me.

Why is Zack's wife talking in this featurette? We don't care what she has to say. We hate when producers feel the need to share the limelight.
    • Speak for yourself. I always enjoyed hearing Emma Thomas (Nolan's wife) talk about the Dark Knight films. How is this any different? She's a producer, she's had a hand in shaping the project, thus she is qualified to speak about the approach the film is taking.
  • WBHopeless
Avengers had Hulk and an epic alien battle. We get a Superman fighting a Zod with a computer generated costume similar to Green Lantern. Sad., but true.

      Ahhh...finally, Avengers' fan is here....

In my opinion the Posters/Banners so far are not too impressive, but the trailers are awesome
  • why is he so flammable, makes no sense, flesh doesn't create flames like that? Jeez.
    • Dude really? Hes working on an oil rig. Its prolly Oil residue burning off. The fact that it doesn't bother him=Superman. k? 😉
      • Elbak
No, it's just to show that superman can survive spontaneous human combustion. Happens to him all the time. No big deal, he just walks it off, but he has to buy new clothes.
  • wolffsrain
The arms of Sups look like midget arms....way too short lol
    • Elbak
LOL, it does look like that, but his upper arms are foreshortened at this angle (extending more to the sides than forward), so what you're seeing is just his forearms.
  • toonfed
Nice arms, Superman. did you stole those from a T Rex?
