The Host

"It's important you stay in control of this host." The new trailer for the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's sci-fi novel The Host has arrived, but this time with a little more plot detail. We've known the synopsis of the story for sometime, but the trailer finally plays it out for us. As an alien force has taken over most of Earth's inhabitants, using them as hosts, there are still pockets of resistance. When a sect of the aliens takes upon an injured human, they decide to inhabit her body and use her to lead them to the resistance. But the girl's memories make it difficult to maintain control. Oh, and there's a lot of shiny cars and motorcylces too!

Here's the new trailer for Andrew Niccol's adaptation of The Host originally from Yahoo:

Andrew Niccol (In Time, Gattaca, Lord of War) wrote and directed the adaptation of The Host, based on the sci-fi novel of the same name by Twilight author Stephanie Meyer. Saoirse Ronan stars as Melanie Stryder, one of the last people fighting against an invading parasitic alien methodically taking over humans. This also stars Diane Kruger, William Hurt, Jake Abel, Max Irons and hits theaters on March 29th, 2013.

I don't know if it's just me or has Saoirse Ronan's acting taken a step back? She pretty awesome in Hanna, this just seems underwhelming.
