Ron Burgundy Belts a Tune for Toronto Mayor Rob Ford on 'Conan'

Back in March of 2012, Will Ferrell appeared as Ron Burgundy on "Conan" to announce Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues was finally happening, and last night the legendary newsman returned to the TBS late night talk show to promote the upcoming comedy sequel from director Adam McKay. Never one to disappoint and put on a good show, Burgundy decided to pay tribute to Toronto mayor Rob Ford (currently being ridiculed for smoking crack, hanging out with hookers and other douchebaggery) by singing to his "dear, dear, dear friend." Ford is in hot water, but he had time to to post the video on Twitter saying, "I had to laugh at my friend Ron Burgundy & his take on my 2014 re-election campaign song." Watch now!
Here's Ron Burgundy's musical appearance on "Conan" last night thanks to Team Coco:
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is written and directed by Adam McKay, the man behind the original 2004 comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and comedies like Step Brothers. With the 70's behind him, San Diego's top rated newsman, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), returns to the news desk. Also back are Ron’s co-anchor and wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), weather man Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), man on the street Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and sports guy Champ Kind (David Koechner) - All of whom won’t make it easy to stay classy…while taking New York's first 24-hour news channel by storm. Paramount Pictures brings the sequel to theaters this winter on December 20th, 2013.

i find it a little confusing that we here in America give so much of a shit about a Canadian Governor.

id like to think if any major governer did similar things it would garner the same interest level

One did. Marion Barry. He proved how completely stupid the voters in Washington DC are by being re-elected after he got caught smoking crack with h0okers on video. I think we are all just wondering if the folks in Toronto are as stupid as the ones in DC and will re-elect the guy....
