It's been three years since we heard that Steve Coogan would reprise his infamous television role as fictional talk show host Alan Partridge. Similar to that of The Larry Sanders Show in the U.S. or Sacha Baron Cohen's various characters across the pond, Coogan made quite a name for himself with the show that ended in 2002. But now Alan Partridge is finally making his way to the big screen in Alpha Papa, and the first teaser trailer is pretty entertaining. We see the inception of the trailer, and audiences unfamiliar get a better idea of Partridge's character and what we can expect from a feature film. Watch the trailer below!
Here's the teaser trailer for Declan Lowney's Alpha Papa via The Film Stage:
Alpha Papa is directed by TV helmer Declan Lowney, who has worked with Steve Coogan many times before, and worked on episodes of "Little Britain" and more. Written by Peter Baynham, Armando Iannucci (of In the Loop), Neil and Rob Gibbons, the plot details haven't been revealed other than the story involving Alan Partridge (Steve Coogan, who also helped write the film) being an unwilling participant at a large event in a small town somewhere. Nigel Lindsay also stars in the film which is slated to hit theaters in the United Kingdom on August 7th, but we're not sure when the film might be coming to theaters in the United States.
