Grown Ups 2

Because making a version of The Big Chill for the stupid comedy crowd wasn't enough, Adam Sandler has returned with his inexplicably still-employed friends Kevin James, David Spade and Chris Rock (actually, he's the only one with a career worth a damn) for Grown Ups 2. This time, Sandler's character has moved his family out of the city and back to the small town in which he grew up. This leaves them to contend with the kids (including Taylor Lautner) who have taken over their old stomping ground, old friends like Shaquille O'Neal (who has become a cop), and a scared deer that pisses on Sandler. Whatever.

Here's the first trailer for Dennis Dugan's Grown Ups 2, found on YouTube:

Growns Ups 2 is directed by Dennis Dugan (Jack & Jill, Growns Ups, Big Daddy) and written by Adam Sandler, Fred Wolf (Black Sheep) and Tim Herlihy (Happy Gilmore). Lenny (Sandler) has relocated his family back to the small town where he and his friends grew up. This time around, the grown ups are the ones learning lessons from their kids on a day notoriously full of surprises: the last day of school. David Spade, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph, Nick Swardson, Taylor Lautner, Shaquille O'Neal and Patrick Schwarzenegger all star in the film arriving on July 12th this summer. Well?

As much as I hate to say it, I actually laughed at Lautner. At least he recognizes he's a dope and is playing it up. But... blech.

Did not disappoint. The jokes were totally stupid and the recap at the beginning of the trailer utterly pointless.

Salma Hayeks jubes probably only thing worth watching for

Ive had such a serious #$%^# for this woman for the last 10 years that I will watch anything with her in it, even this stupidity of a movie

Christopher Philip Cinquegrano on Apr 3, 2013

Well, that was horrible.

Yeah its not top notch film making but Sandler is banking on the family audience with 8-14 year olds will think this movie is hilarious. You cant blame him for cranking these films out, they make him money. At least they are still 10x better then any tyler perry movies

Not that it matters but where is Rob Schneider? Of all of them he is the one who most relies on Sandler to keep his sad career going.

LightningB on Apr 3, 2013

Andy Samberg must stop hanging up With Sandler. I mean if he wants a real career in movies
