TGB Interview: Actor AJ Bowen from Adam Wingard's 'You're Next'
by Alex Billington
August 23, 2013
After two years of anticipation, Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett's excellent home invasion horror film You're Next is hitting theaters today. Jeremy and I were some of the last US audience members to see it as an indie darling back at Fantastic Fest 2011 and we couldn't be happier to see it finally in theaters! On this special interview edition of The Golden Briefcase, hosts Tim Buel and Jeremy Kirk chat with one of the film's stars - AJ Bowen. AJ is an established genre actor who audiences have seen before in films such as The Signal, House of the Devil, Rites of Spring, Hatchet 2 and many others. Listen to the interview below.
The guys talk with AJ regarding the making of You're Next, his relationship with the zany Wingard/Barrett filmmaking team, working with legendary horror icon Barbara Crampton and plenty more. Please be sure to go out and support indie horror this weekend by seeing You're Next in theaters. It's worth every penny.

You're Next reinvents the genre by putting a fresh twist on home-invasion horror. When a gang of masked, ax-wielding murderers descend upon the Davison family reunion, the hapless victims seem trapped… until an unlikely guest of the family proves to be the most talented killer of all. A Lionsgate and Snoot Films presentation in association with Hanway Films. You're Next is directed by Adam Wingard (A Horrible Way to Die, Autoerotic, VHS, VHS-2), from a script by Simon Barrett (also A Horrible Way to Die, VHS, VHS-2). This first premiered at TIFF and Fantastic Fest back in 2011, and was delayed for two years by Lionsgate. You're Next will finally hit theaters everywhere starting on August 23rd starting this weekend. See it now!
