'The Walking Dead' Star Laurie Holden Joins 'Dumb & Dumber To'
In the TV world today, fans are abuzz about a spin-off series from "The Walking Dead" that will follow new survivors. But one of the cast members from the original series on AMC is heading into the comedy world. THR has word that Laurie Holden has landed a role in Dumb & Dumber To, the sequel to the 1994 comedy Dumb & Dumber starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, who are reprising their dimwitted characters. Plus, now we have story details saying Lloyd (Carrey) and Harry (Daniels) hit the road to find Harry's illegitimate daughter for a kidney transplant. But Holden isn't the only new cast member. Read on!
Steve Tom (iSteve, "Funny or Die Presents") and Rachel Melvin ("Heroes") also have roles. Holden is playing a woman named Adele Pichlow, who is secretly poisoning her doctor husband (Tom), so she can steal his money. But her plans also include killing her step-daughter Penny (Melvin), along with Lloyd and Harry for some reason, so she can elope with a local handyman. Likely Harry and Lloyd are just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and we're wondering where Harry's real daughter will come into play. Plus, the Farrelly Brothers revealed that Kathleen Turner will be playing Freida Felcher, the character who was only referenced in the first film. We're really not sure what to expect from this flick.
