In just a couple of months, Edgar Wright will give fans what they've been waiting for since Shaun of the Dead was unleashed in 2004 and followed by Hot Fuzz in 2007. The end of the filmmaker's trilogy known as "Three Flavours Cornetto" is nearly upon us, and while that might not mean anything to casual moviegoers, it's an exciting prospect for those who have loved Simon Pegg and Nick Frost teaming up. For those who aren't aware, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and now The World's End are part of a unique trilogy, and now a new featurette breaks down the connection between the three genre skewering comedies.

Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) is writing and directing The World's End, third part of the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them (Pegg) becomes hellbent on restaging a drinking marathon and reach the fabled pub, The World's End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just their's but humankind’s. Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman, Rosamund Pike and Eddie Marsan also star in the film arriving in US theaters on August 23rd.
