US Trailer for 'Ginger & Rosa' Starring Elle Fanning and Alice Englert
Following in the footsteps of her older sister Dakota Fanning, Super 8 star Elle Fanning is growing up to be quite an impressive actress. In fact, this spring she'll be leading a small film called Ginger & Rosa, a film about two teenage girls living in 1960s London, whose intense friendship is tested by the dramatic events they are living through. Alice Englert stars opposite Fanning in the film and The Playlist calls the performance by the latter young actress "transformative" and "heartbreaking." Christina Hendricks and Annette Bening also have small roles in the film, and now the US trailer has arrived to gather interest.
Here's the US trailer for Sally Porter's Ginger & Rosa, directly from The Playlist:
In London, 1962, two teenage girls, Ginger & Rosa (Elle Fanning and Alice Englert), are inseparable. They skip school, discuss religion, politics and hairstyles, and dream of lives bigger than their mothers' frustrated domesticity. But, as the Cold War meets the sexual revolution, and the threat of nuclear holocaust escalates, the lifelong friendship of the two girls is shattered - by the clash of desire and the determination to survive. Sally Potter (Rage, Yes) directs the film which also stars Christina Hendricks, Oliver Platt, Timothy Spall, Jodhi May and Annette Bening. The film gets a limited release on March 15th this spring.
