Riddick International Trailer

"This ain't nothin' new." Well that was fast. Following the new Comic-Con poster debut over this weekend, another brand new international trailer for David Twohy's Riddick starring Vin Diesel has hit the web. We just got the full trailer for this sci-fi sequel a month ago, but this one still packs a punch. It shows quite a few full scenes, but also has some fantastic VFX alien shots that kind of kick ass. The cast includes Katee Sackhoff, Karl Urban, Nolan Funk, Dave Bautista, Noah Danby and Jordi MollĂ . I'm honestly really excited to see this, my kind of action sci-fi, and I love Riddick being back in this solo way. "Times up!"

Here's the newest international trailer for David Twohy's Riddick, found on YouTube (via Collider):

Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick director David Twohy returns to write and direct Riddick. Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction. Universal is releasing Riddick everywhere on September 6th this fall.

There is a TON of CGI/VFX work in this for only a $38 million budget. I mean, you can tell it was made for a relatively cheap amount...but still, it looks like it has a pretty huge volume of effects work for such a small budget....small by blockbuster standards, anyway.

Wicked. Can't wait...

I saw fifteen minutes of the first one, and felt an extreme need to turn it off. This looks pretty cool though.

Pitch Black.

So does this take place before or after the last one? Little confused. Didn't it end with him having his own army?

There will be some throw away plot that explains why he is back on a dirt heap planet being chased by hunters again. I guess it was too hard to come up with a compelling story with him at the helm of a galactic army.

^ Cynic you are indeed, I imagine its more because Riddick commanding an army kind of contradicts with the Riddick character completely.

Vaako will never let Riddick rule.

Xerxexx on Jun 18, 2013

And that movie I want to see.

Brian Sleider on Jun 18, 2013

Who knows...Urban is returning as Vaako...may we will get a show down between the two. Also to rule Riddick must undergo the transformation to a Necromonger...and he ain't down with that.

This looks good. Really glad Katee Sackhoff is in it. But I hope that, if she's a main character, that she isn't killed off at the last minute like Radha Mitchell's character was in Pitch Black. That was a slightly devastating blow at the end of that movie that made me feel like all her character's hard work was for nothing :/ Otherwise I loved Pitch Black.

I'll watch it.

Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick were both awesome movies, very different from eachother but still very entertaining. I hope this one has elements of both those movies. Not sure why "Chronicles" gets such a bad rap. I personally enjoyed them both and can't wait to see this one, looks pretty sweet!

The villians were too campy . maybe the whole "Riddick can bust out of a unbustable prison like NOBODY else " seemed forced . Like u I don't hate the flick because of that . It's good sci-fi . Just not as good or relatable as PB

I love me some Riddick

Damn that merc guy who says "holy shit!" so hot! Lol but yes this looks awesome! Loved the first two films.

Pitch Black was awesome and bleak. There were no "good guys", just survivors. The second was sci-fi action fun. The filler animated short was more horror themed. This looks more in between. Looking forward to to it.

I wanted to see Vin lead an army, not Pitch Black again.
