Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

We've seen two full trailers, a brand new poster with the giant news team in New York City, and a slew of Dodge Durango commercials featuring Ron Burgundy, proving that the promotion for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is going to be all over the place in the coming months leading up to the December release of the comedy sequel. And since it's Halloween, we have Will Ferrell as the legendary newscaster delivering a special message on this spooky holiday. It's not nearly as wild or silly as those aforementioned commercials, but it's just so great to see Ferrell back behind the desk with that glorious mustache and hair.

A Halloween message from Adam McKay's Anchorman 2: The Legend of Ron Burgundy via YouTube:

And here's Ron Burgundy talking about British Halloween (via Paramount International):

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is written and directed by Adam McKay, the man behind the original 2004 comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and comedies like Step Brothers. With the 70's behind him, San Diego's top rated newsman, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), returns to the news desk. Also back are Ron’s co-anchor and wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), weather man Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), man on the street Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and sports guy Champ Kind (David Koechner) - All of whom won’t make it easy to stay classy…while taking New York's first 24-hour news channel by storm. Paramount Pictures brings the sequel to theaters this winter on December 20th, 2013.

Funny, until the supermarkets over here got behind Halloween, it had pretty much died out because of some climate of fear, child molester frenzy. It was a little like an American Halloween tonight. Different to when I went 'guising' as a child which was essential begging wearing masks, because people gave you money.
