Sony Classics has finally debuted a teaser trailer for Bennett Miller's Foxcatcher, one of the late season awards contenders that we just profiled earlier this week. Foxcatcher tells the real life story of millionaire John du Pont, played by Steve Carell, who ends up killing one of Olympic Wrestling Champion brothers Mark Schultz and Dave Schultz, played by Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo (respectively). This short teaser is cut perfectly to hint at the very engaging, very thrilling story within, proving that this definitely does have
Oscar potential no longer the case as the film has been pushed back to 2014 as announced by SPC after this first arrived.

Update! Sony Pictures Classics has removed all copies of this teaser trailer and announced that the film will be pushed to a 2014 release. "SPC supports the decision of the filmmakers to allow for more time to finish the film."
Foxcatcher is directed by Bennett Miller (Capote, Moneyball) and written by Dan Futterman (Capote, "In Treatment") and E. Max Frye ("Band of Brothers"). The film tells the gripping, true story of Olympic Wrestling Champion brothers Mark Schultz & Dave Schultz (Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo) and their relationship with eccentric John du Pont (Steve Carell), heir to the du Pont Chemical fortune, that led to murder. Sienna Miller, Vanessa Redgrave and Anthony Michael Hall also star in the film. Sony Classics has delayed the Foxcatcher release from 2013 to sometime in 2014 to "allow for more time to finish the film."
