Watch: First Terrifying Trailer for James Wan's 'Insidious: Chapter 2'
"He's got your baby...!" Aside from a couple first look photos back in February, the curtain has not yet been pulled back on Insidious: Chapter 2, the sequel to the James Wan-directed horror hit from writer Leigh Wannell. But now this first trailer gives us a good idea of how the Lambert family (Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Ty Simpkins and Barbary Hershey) continues to find themselves mysteriously haunted by some sort of secret from their past. This trailer keeps the same chills as the first one, without the creepy red-face guy, but gets much more intense by the end. I'm excited to see just how much scarier they made this sequel.
Here's the first trailer for James Wan's Insidious: Chapter 2, in high def from Apple:
Not much is known about the plot, being kept a secret. The haunted Lambert family seeks to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world. Director James Wan (Saw, Dead Silence, Death Sentence, Insidious, The Conjuring) shot the sequel in LA this year, from a screenplay written by Leigh Whannell that picks up where the first ends, after it turns out (spoiler) that Josh is also possessed. Most of the cast is returning, including Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne, as well as Ty Simpkins as their son, plus Barbara Hershey and even Lin Shaye. Keep following @creepypuppet for updates before FilmDistrict opens Insidious: Chapter 2 in theaters starting on September 13th this fall.
