Watch: Indie Doc 'Spook Central' Trailer Dives Deep into 'Ghostbusters'
Though it seems like someone down in Australia is having a dry laugh, on a slow news day like this, we're willing to entertain this teaser trailer for an independent documentary called Spook Central. Bloody Disgusting was sent this sneak preview from director Ivo Shandor which takes a seemingly in-depth look at Ghostbusters, not unlike Room 237, which dives into the themes and making of The Shining. The teaser contains brief pieces of analysis of the 1984 film, and while there are some interesting facts and observations from the voiceover, we're not sure this is really meant to be a genuine examination of the film.

The discussion of the Columbia Pictures logo, which plays before countless other films without any real meaning, seems to be the dead giveaway. But the links between smoking and the banishing of the supernatural seem quite silly. However, the latter points in this trailer are somewhat intriguing. This could be an honest over analysis of a classic 1984 supernatural horror comedy, or maybe a dry, satire piece dissecting a film in a manner that no one ever thought of before. Either way, more films should be scrutinized this closely (and genuinely) to make for some interesting discussion. What do you think?
