Watch: It's McAvoy vs. Strong in New 'Welcome to the Punch' Trailer

Welcome to the Punch

Late last year the first trailer for the UK film Welcome to the Punch introduced us to the caper starring Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes, Zero Dark Thirty) and James McAvoy (Wanted, X-Men: First Class) and now a full US trailer for the film gives us a different, slightly less stylish look. Ex-criminal Jacob Sternwood (Strong) is forced to return to London when his son is involved in a heist gone wrong. This gives his nemesis, detective Max Lewinsky (McAvoy), one last chance to catch the man he's always been after. This looks like it could be a pretty solid thriller from Eran Creevy, so hopefully it gets attention. Watch!

Here's the US trailer for Eran Creevy's Welcome to the Punch via YouTube:

BAFTA nominated filmmaker Eran Creevy writes and directs Welcome to the Punch, the story of a former criminal, Jacob Sternwood (Mark Strong) who is forced to return to London from his Icelandic hideaway when his son is involved in a heist gone wrong. This gives detective Max Lewinsky (James McAvoy) one last chance to catch the man he has always been after. As they face off, they uncover a deeper conspiracy they both need to solve in order to survive. The film will see release in the United Kingdom a bit earlier on March 15th, but IFC Films is bringing the film to theaters in the United States on March 27th. Good?
