Penthouse North Trailer

"It's him!" "I know…" File this one under didn't-know-it-existed. An international trailer for a film called Penthouse North, a New York-set thriller directed by Joseph Ruben (The Forgotten) about a "sadistic criminal" who takes over the penthouse of a supposedly blind photojournalist. Michelle Monaghan stars as Sara, suddenly invaded by some killer who is the henchman of a weirdo played by Michael Keaton, who just seems to be looking for her diamonds. Wait, diamonds? I'm not sure what to make of this, but it could end up being twisted and thrilling. This trailer goes from charming to bloody scary very quick, so watch out.

Here's the first Thai trailer for Joseph Ruben's Penthouse North, on YouTube via The Playlist:

Here's the only other good synopsis I could find on this via IMDb: A reclusive photojournalist lives quietly in a New York penthouse, until a smooth but sadistic criminal looking for a hidden fortune enters her life.

Penthouse North is directed by horror veteran filmmaker Joseph Ruben, of the films The Forgotten, Return to Paradise, Money Train, Sleeping with the Enemy, True Believer, Joy Ride and Dreamscape previously. The screenplay was written by David Loughery, of Nurse 3-D, Lakeview Terrace, Tom and Huck, Money Train, The Three Musketeers and Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. This doesn't have a US release date yet.

    What a shitty trailer...
    • I agree that the trailer is awful. It's a shame too because it's an original premise with a decent cast.
  • Wow... That music.
