Wish You Were Here

After premiering over a year ago at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, the release of the Australian thriller Wish You Were Here is finally upon us with a limited release planned this summer and a new trailer online. Joel Edgerton stars in the film that slowly unravels a vacation gone awry where one of the travelers has gone missing in Cambodia. Teresa Palmer also stars in the film along with her native accent from Down Under and she's joined by Antony Starr and Felicity Price. It might seem like the trailer is giving too much away, but there's more than meets the eye, even though the film itself is a little bit bland. Watch it?

Here's the new trailer for Kieran Darcy-Smith's Wish You Were Here, found by The Playlist:

Four friends lose themselves in a carefree South-East Asian holiday. Only three come back. Who amongst them knows what happened on that fateful night when they were dancing under a full moon in Cambodia?

Wish You Were Here is both written and directed by Australian actor-turned-filmmaker Kieran Darcy-Smith, a founding member of Blue Tongue Films making his feature debut after directing a few shorts years ago. The screenplay was co-written by Darcy-Smith and actress Felicity Price, who also stars in this as Alice. It was shot mostly in New South Wales, Australia and Cambodia. Wish You Were Here premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and Entertainment One brings the film to limited theaters June 7th. Good?
