Grace of Monaco Teaser Trailer

"Long after the House of Grimaldi has fallen, the world is going to remember your name, Your Highness." The first UK teaser trailer for another one of this year's potential awards contenders has arrived. Grace of Monaco, starring Nicole Kidman as Grace Kelly tells the story of the Hollywood star's crisis of marriage and identity during a political dispute between Monaco's Prince Rainier III and France's Charles De Gaulle in the 1960s. This teaser is barely 60 seconds long and only has two good shots of Kidman in it, but it's only our very first tease and we'll see more before release. At least the film has some gorgeous cinematography.

Here's the first UK teaser trailer for Olivier Dahan's Grace of Monaco, originally from The Guardian:

Olivier Dahan (La Vie en Rose) directs Grace of Monaco from a script by Arash Amel (who's writing the I Am Legend sequel). Nicole Kidman plays Grace Kelly in a story that follows the former Hollywood star's involvement with Monaco's Prince Rainier III and France's Charles De Gaulle dispute over tax laws in the early 1960s. Tim Roth plays the prince and the cast also includes Frank Langella, Paz Vega, Parker Posey and Milo Ventimiglia. The Weinstein Company will be releasing Olivier Dahan's Grace of Monaco in limited theaters in the US starting on November 27th this fall. We'll keep you updated. Anyone interested so far?

It looks more like Nicole Kidman of Monaco. Not her fault, they should have picked someone less known. There's not a hint of Grace Kelly in those scenes.
  • I love Nicole Kidman, I think she's a great actress but she looks nothing like Grace Kelly. Charlize Theron would have been perfect, she has the same luminosity and charisma as well as being one of the great actress's of our age. Robin Wright would do the part justice and Jessica Biel or Katherine Heigl at the very least would have been better as well.

Kidman is box office poison. And looks nothing like GK.
