Watch: Pete Holmes Presents His Version of 'Batman vs. Superman'
Hot on the heels of the Ex-Men sketch that featured comedian Pete Holmes as Professor X telling Wolverine that he was fired from the X-Men for being inefficient, now he's heading into the DC Comics universe. Taking aim at the forthcoming superhero sequel Batman vs. Superman, Holmes reprises his comedic turn as Batman (which he's been doing for a little while over at College Humor) and gets into an argument with Superman over who is the better superhero. Though this is just a sketch, the production value is pretty impressive. This one premiered at New York Comic-Con last week, and now it's online in full.
Here's Pete Holmes' Batman vs. Superman video from "The Pete Holmes Show" on TBS:
If you enjoyed this and the Ex-Men sketch, you'll be happy to know that there are 8 more sketches featuring Professor X meeting with some of the other team members on "The Pete Holmes Show" which premieres on TBS on October 28th. However, Holmes doesn't want to rely on just these kind of sketches, mostly because they're hard to pull off. He says, "Every Batman video that we do is a night shoot and it takes way more money than I ever thought. I don’t even like knowing how much that stuff costs. With the suit and the lights and the smoke machine and the cast and the other costumes, not just my suit, but if we do Bane or if we do Scarecrow, all this stuff gets built and costs a lot." But they sure are hilarious. What do you think?
