Watch: Robert De Niro vs. John Travolta in the 'Killing Season' Trailer
In what looks like evidence that John Travolta needs another Pulp Fiction career revival, the first trailer for the generic thriller Killing Season from director Mark Steven Johnson (Ghost Rider) is here. Despite the fact that Robert De Niro (who has been hit or miss in the late part of his career) is the one facing off against Travolta in this thriller, the trailer is cut together poorly and doesn't look thrilling in the least. Travolta has a Serbian accent and De Niro just looks like he's going through the motions. Plus, it seems like the trailer really gives away the ending, or at least most of the better parts of this conflict between the two.
Here's the first trailer for Mark Steven Johnson's Killing Season, originally from Apple:
Mark Steven Johnson (Ghost Rider, Daredevil) directs Killing Season from a script by Evan Daugherty (Divergent, the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) Deep in the Appalachian mountains, a reclusive American military veteran (Robert De Niro) and a European tourist (John Travolta) strike up an unlikely friendship. But when the tourist's true intentions come to light, what follows is a tense battle across some of America’s most forbidding landscape proving the purest form of war is one-on-one. Milo Ventimiglia (Rocky Balboa) also stars in the film which Millennium Entertainment releases in limited theaters on July 12th.

Not sure what is worse, Travolta's terrible fake accent or his dyed beard
