Watch: Two French Trailers Show More Class Warfare in 'Snowpiercer'
While audiences here in the United States are still waiting to see Snowpiercer, the film is already hitting theaters around the world. We already know there's a new cut being put together, and while there was some outrage about the cuts being made, director Joon-ho Bong says The Weinstein Compnay is being pretty soft about their edits. In the meantime, we have two French trailers showing off more of the class warfare that takes place on a train speeding across the country in a post-apocalyptic world Earth with the sole survivors of humanity on board. We get a taste of the revolution brewing, and hope this film arrives soon.
Here are the two similar French trailers for Joon-ho Bong's Snowpiercer originally via The Playlist:
The cast for Joon-ho Bong's Snowpiercer includes Chris Evans with Ed Harris, Jamie Bell, Alison Pill, John Hurt, Oscar winners Tilda Swinton & Octavia Spencer, Ewen Bremner, Kang-ho Song and Luke Pasqualino as passengers on the train. Joon-ho describes Snow Piercer as a post-apocalyptic movie about a few survivors who end up on a massive train that is divided by economic classes. "With a revolt brewing onboard, the Snow Piercer is a train of Earth's lone survivors that travels around the cold world." The Weinstein Company is planning a "wide summer 2013" release for the movie, but no date has been set yet. It was released in South Korea just this past month, and we expect to see it over here this year.
