Will Arnett Wants the Nuts in the First Animated 'The Nut Job' Trailer
"No nuts. No glory." It may not be as punny as the trailer for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, but this new trailer for The Nut Job certainly brings the silly. In the animated project from Open Road Films, Will Arnett voices a squirrel named Surly, who is banished from his park and forced to survive in the city. Hungry for a nut, he stumbles upon Maury's Nut Store, and with his rat of a friend Buddy, plans a heist to harvest all the nuts and redeem himself with everyone at the park. Liam Neeson, Katherine Heigl and Brendan Fraser also lend their voices to the film that looks like a great fit for kids, but maybe not adults.
Here's the first trailer for Peter Lepeniotis' The Nut Job, originally from Yahoo:
The Nut Job is an action-packed comedy that follows the travails of Surly (voiced by Will Arnett), a mischievous squirrel, and his rat friend Buddy, who plan a nut store heist of outrageous proportions and unwittingly find themselves embroiled in a much more complicated and hilarious adventure. Brendan Fraser, Katherine Heigl and Liam Neeson also voice characters in the film from director Peter Lepeniotis (an animator on Toy Story 2), who also wrote teh film with Lorne Cameron (Brother Bear) and Daniel Woo. Open Road Films sends the animated comedy to theaters in 3D on January 17th, 2014. Funny stuff?
